The 2013 Pacific Showcase Market was held during February and March, bringing the best that the Pacific has to offer to Auckland’s waterfront.

Featuring a range of boutique stalls, a pacific themed market place, promotional kiosks, a pacific café and live performance stage visitors were able to experience the Best of the Pacific right in the heart of Auckland’s city centre.

Offering something for everyone there was a variety of foods available (including fresh regional produce, speciality foods and beverages), art, crafts, jewellery, fashion and beauty products.

This was complimented each week by resident artists demonstrating their talent and exhibiting their work whilst Pacific musicians, singers and dancers took to the stage providing both traditional and contemporary live music and performances.

ABOUT THE PACIFIC SHOWCASE MARKET

The first Pacific Showcase Market took place in Auckland September 2011, timed to coincide with the 40^th Pacific Islands Forum and the start of Rugby World Cup 2011. It was the first major public event held at The Cloud and attracted over 38,000 visitors over three days.

Organised by the Pacific Cooperation Foundation, an independent charitable trust, the Showcase was staged to bring a focus onto the vast wealth of products, arts and culture across the region and to transform the way we see the Pacific and what it has to offer.
